Tiger Eye – colored pencil on watercolor paper – 3×3″

The Tiger Eye drawing project was a unique and exciting opportunity for me to showcase my skills in traditional art media. The project involved creating a drawing of a tiger’s eye using colored pencils on watercolor paper.

The primary objective of this project was to create a visually stunning and detailed representation of a tiger’s eye that conveyed its beauty, depth, and complexity. The drawing had to be on a small scale, measuring just 3″x3″, which presented a challenge in terms of capturing the intricate details and textures of the subject matter.

Some of the key elements of this project include:

  • Selecting the right materials, including high-quality colored pencils and watercolor paper, to ensure a vibrant and durable final product.
  • Utilizing various techniques, including layering and blending of colors, to create a sense of depth and dimensionality in the drawing.
  • Ensuring that the overall composition was balanced and aesthetically pleasing, with careful attention paid to the placement of the subject matter on the paper.

Throughout the project, I worked diligently to achieve a level of detail and realism that accurately captured the beauty of the tiger’s eye. The result was a drawing that showcased my skills in traditional art media and attention to detail.

Incorporating the Tiger Eye drawing project into my portfolio highlights my ability to create captivating and realistic traditional art pieces that showcase my skills in color theory, texture, and composition. It showcases my passion for art and my commitment to producing high-quality work that meets or exceeds client expectations.
